The astrolabe is the instrument that let navigators take their bearings: knowing where you are before deciding where to go. That is exactly the role I play for my clients.
A civil engineer by training, with a specialised master's in data science from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), where I taught an introductory machine learning course, I have spent more than twenty years in the field, in Belgium and abroad — from coordinating a production site in Singapore to business development in Africa. First as an engineer, then as a project manager, and finally as a data scientist: it is that combination that lets me turn an operational challenge into a model, and a model output into a decision your teams can act on.
I founded L'Astrolabe in January 2025 to put that experience at the service of the sectors that keep the real economy running: energy, transport and industry. Demanding environments, where a model is only worth something if it is understood, adopted and maintained by the teams.
I work directly with you, with no middleman: the person you talk to is the person doing the work. Deliverables are documented and handed over, so your teams stay autonomous once the engagement ends.
